With a large sports hall, outdoor ropes course, climbing wall, pond and access to miles of beautiful countryside, we offer a wide range of activities to suit your desires, including kayaking, climbing, walking, mountaineering and archery. Climbing/Abseiling
Introductory climbing and abseiling are provided both on a local crag and further afield.
Our indoor climbing room offers the chance for all ages to enjoy the sport in all weathers.
We also have indoor crate climbing and tree climbing which has been done by those even as young as 6 or 7 on a large Scots Pine in the Centre grounds.

Canoeing / Kayaking
Kayaking is offered on our pond for introductory sessions. For the more adventurous, we are planning sessions on local rivers and lochs further afield.

Hill Walking
Some of the best mountain scenery in the world is on our doorstep and our instructors can take you to explore the unique hils in our area.
Skiing/Snowboarding
Winter is a favourite time of year at Compass. We offer ski and board equipment hire, instruction at very competitive rates.

Environmental Activities / Natural History
There is a well-equipped class room suited to activity and craft workshops and investigative studies. This is to be re-equipped with modern IT facilities by the end of 2005. We offer a range of fun-based options to explore our natural surroundings as well as our senses.

Sports Hall
We have a sports hall with sprung wooden floor equipped for football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, carpet bowls and Uni-Hoc.

The upstairs activity room holds table tennis, table-top football and pool tables and along with the environmental classroom, can double as a meeting or seminar room.
The Pond
Our pond is used for many activities from ecological studies to group sports. Kayaking, and raft building can take place here on sheltered water..


Ropes Course
The ropes course is a favourite with many groups and it challenges those of all ages and abilities. Swing low and hang five in nets, from ropes and on branches!

Orienteering
Our land covers a well defined but extensive area and is well-suited for orienteeringl. With maps and compasses provided, groups of all ages can find their way about to find the treasure or reach a certain location.
Gorge Walk
Just 5 miles up the glen we explore a mountain stream for our gorge walk, with plunge pools and waterslides for the more adventurous.

Archery
We can give you an introduction to archery in our Sports Hall and outside (weather permitting)
